Objective: Capture cards from the table to score points (52-card deck, no jokers).
Card values:
- Aces = 1 point
- Tens = 1 point
- Jacks = 1 point
- Queens = 1 point
- Kings = 1 point
- 10♦ = 2 points
- 2♣ = +1 point
- Other cards count by their number for sums.
Setup:
- Deal 6 cards to each player.
- Place 4 cards face up on the table.
- After all 6 are played, deal another 6 until the deck is used.
Gameplay (clockwise, play 1 card):
- Capture: Match value or make a sum equal to your card.
- Build: Combine cards to set a future sum.
- Discard: If you can’t capture or build, place the card on the table.
- Sweep (tablanette): Clear the table in one move for +1 point.
Round end: After the deck is finished, remaining table cards go to the last capturer.
Scoring:
- Each Ace, Ten, Jack, Queen, King = 1 point
- 10♦ = 2 points; 2♣ = 1 point
- Each Sweep (tablanette) = 1 point
- Most cards captured = +3 points
- First to the agreed target (11/51/101) wins.

Standard Tablanette rules apply. Only the additional Juxtab rules are described below. Bonuses and penalties add up.

Juxtab

One random rule for each full deck. It stays active through all four deals.

Golden sweep: Every sweep is worth +3 instead of +1, regardless of the played card’s suit. Cards keep their normal points.
Poison sweep: Every sweep is worth −1 instead of +1, regardless of the played card’s suit. Cards keep their normal points.
Golden suit: Each captured card of the marked golden suit adds +1, including the played card when you capture. Sweeps stay worth +1.
Poison suit: Each captured card of the marked poison suit adds −1, including the played card when you capture. Sweeps stay worth +1.
Card hunt: Capture the marked card for +3. The target is chosen from the table when the rule is drawn; an empty table means no target. The reward can be claimed once before the next rule draw.
Small change: Every captured 2, 3 or 4 adds +1. All bonuses and penalties add together.
Big catch: Capture at least four table cards in one move for +2, once per move. The played card does not count toward four.

Juxtab Extreme

All bonuses stay active. The golden suit, poison suit and target change each six-card deal. These rules last until the next six-card deal. Previously scored points stay unchanged.

Golden sweep: Clear the table with a card of the golden suit: the sweep is worth +3 instead of +1.
Poison sweep: Clear the table with a card of the poison suit: the sweep is worth −1 instead of +1.
Golden suit: Each captured card of the golden suit adds +1, including the card played to capture.
Poison suit: Each captured card of the poison suit adds −1, including the card played to capture.

Cards awarded at the end keep the last deal’s card bonuses, but earn no sweep or big-catch bonus.

Tournaments

Tablanette M hosts two recurring competitions. T-100 runs every week from Monday through Sunday with prizes for the top players in the round. T-500 spans an entire calendar month and rewards consistency over the longer stretch. Both leaderboards reset at the close of each round, and previous winners are preserved on this page so you can follow the all-time greats.

Strategy tips

Keep track of the cards already played and calculate the possible sums on the table. Plan moves that capture valuable cards or clear the table, while avoiding easy captures for your opponent. Practise against the computer, then try your tactics against other players.
